Got Pre-Approved ?

As the ad goes "Got Milk?" well when it comes to purchasing
a home one must ask, "Got Pre-Approved?"

That's the first important step to house hunting that most buyers don't realize.  Before you even start shopping for a home, you'll want to be sure you have financing in place to make your next purchase. Without being pre-approved you have no idea what priced home to be looking at, or if you will qualify for a mortgage.  I've had buyers sure they would be pre-approved just to find out they did not qualify for a loan at the present time.  Criteria for being approved has changed in recently years and have become more stringent because of the present housing market situation.

Its also important to be pre-approved before you start looking at homes for the fact that if you find a home you want to put an offer on you will need a pre-approval letter to present along with your offer.  A Seller will not look at your offer without knowing you can purchase the property, and that's what the pre-approval letter does.

Getting a "pre-approval" from a reputable lender is one of the first steps in your home shopping process.  Not sure who to use contact me and I will give you a few different lenders to call.  Its important to find the right fit just like with a Realtor. This is one of the most important purchase you will ever make and you need to feel comfortable and confide with the professionals assisting you.  I've had buyers & sellers joke that we almost become your best friend or part of your family for a brief period through the process because you are in contact with them on a daily basis througout the process.
